How can you and your family get involved​
Forestdale is a remarkable place to call home and this year 2025, we are set to explore what truly co-exists in our 'shared backyard'.
Events coming soon include...Forestdale citizen science explorations, backyard biodiversity workshops and night time fauna spotting!
Forestdale resident support is warmly welcomed; add your e-mail to the membership list to be kept up-to date with activities, local stories and significant wildlife sightings.
Are you interested to help inform the direction for our great estate over the next 10 years? The draft LoganPlan2025 is nearly ready to receive Community Submissions; we are looking for residents who would like to add their voice. Please connect to receive more information.

Get involved
Habitat Connections is a free program for all residents in the City of Logan. Residents who join this program can get support to create backyards that are wildlife friendly. Habitat Connections members receive: free native plants each year to attract local wildlife expert advice from Council officers to help create a wildlife-friendly backyard access to resources to learn about weeds, native plants and wildlife access to workshops and activities about relevant topics a Habitat Connections sign to display on their fence. Tree Watch aims to protect and enhance the tree canopy in the area; sending a strong message to the community that trees and biodiversity in our streets are valuable and that we are keeping watch over the trees.

What is Tree Watch

To assist with ongoing monitoring of development in our suburb, Logan City Council requires us to be the eyes and ears.

Tree Watchers are members within Forestdale who communicate through the WhatsApp group, alerting Council to 'questionable' development activity or unapproved excessive vegetation clearing.
​
Tree Watch aims to protect and enhance the tree canopy in the area; sending a strong message to the community that trees and biodiversity in our streets are valuable and that we assist council in keeping watch over our suburb.
